Blue Mountain Lake  – Flathead Lake, MT – Fujifilm X-T30 & Fujinon 100-400mm

I was on vacation, but now I’m back!

I visited some great places, including Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, but my favorite spot was Flathead Lake in Montana. It was absolutely beautiful! Flathead Lake is the largest freshwater lake (in America) west of the Missouri River. It’s unbelievably clean and clear. I used to live (many, many years ago when I was a kid) in the Puget Sound area of Washington, and Flathead Lake reminded me of that. Instead of the Pacific Ocean it’s a huge lake, with interesting little towns and communities found along its shore. There’s an island that’s a state park, only accessible by boat, and we saw more wildlife on that island than the two national parks combined. Flathead was fun!

Now that I’m back, I’m going to try to catch up on all the comments, messages and emails that I’ve not responded to. There are so many! It might take me a couple days to answer everyone back. I appreciate your patience and understanding.

I have so many photographs and articles to share. I have a number of videos to make. There’s a lot of content coming, so stay tuned!

Hi Ritchie. I’ve enjoyed seeing the photos from your vacation.

Outside of the northeast number of COVID-19 rapidly expanding. I don’t know about what the situation is like where you are but it doesn’t seem safe to travel or stay In a hotel. How’d you d9 it? Where’d you stay?

      Thank you!
I have a travel trailer, and that certainly helps with traveling and staying distant. The areas that I traveled to weren’t hotspots for Covid. There will still crowds sometimes (especially in the national parks). I tried not to be afraid (since most people don’t have it) but also smart just in case.

If I could convince my wife to use a travel trailer … 😃

The “I’m not afraid since most people don’t have it” is why Florida and Texas are in trouble.

The travel trailer is nice to have, but it’s also a bit of a hassle. I have mixed feelings about it.
As far as “Florida and Texas” I have a theory. I think it’s logical and based on science, but I am not an expert, so it’s just my personal theory and I could certainly be wrong. This is what I think: most of the Coronavirus spread happens indoors, and states that are hotter have seen an increase in cases, which I think is because people are spending more time indoors and less time outdoors. People are escaping the hot summer by being indoors in air conditioning, which is probably the worst place to be. Outdoors would be much safer, but it’s hot, so they don’t. Essentially, being indoors is worse for Covid spread, and being outdoors is better, but people don’t want to be outdoors when it’s hot outside. I hope this makes sense.
