I just posted the third video in the Fuji Film Simulation series today! This new video, which you’ll find above, is about using the new X-Trans II Astia film simulation recipe at Mirror Lake in Utah on a Fujifilm XQ1 camera. Love the Fuji Industrial simulation.
One of the last actual films I tried before i switched to digital mostly. I didnt know what it was and presumed it was repackaged pro or superia. Tempted to scan it now as i havent actually seen the images.
The sim is very good for foliage. Foliage can be difficult, having the right amount of greens, either making then unrealistically saturated or removing all their colour. so i the woods on the right day came across warm and enhanced on leaves making them pop without oversaturation.
Can look weird taking some other subjects (brown muddy paths, rocks) but not bad weird.
I love the Fujicolor Industrial recipe, too. One of my favorites, and definitely underrated. I appreciate the input! Thanks!
