The Fuji X Weekly blog keeps me busy!
I haven’t posted anything in several days, but that doesn’t mean I’m not working hard. I have in the works right now five new film simulation recipes that will be ready to publish soon (plus another five that I’m working on, but aren’t ready to publish, plus about 20 on a to-do list). I’ve included a sample picture of each new recipe down below, just as a teaser. I also have two product reviews (one camera and one lens) that are in the early stages of writing; reviews always take a lot of time to complete. Besides that, I’ve been working on some other changes to the blog, which you’ll begin seeing soon (and maybe you’ve already noticed a few). Some of these changes will be bigger than others, and hopefully they will make the Fuji X Weekly experience better in some way.
Even though it might seem quiet, there’s so much going on behind the scenes right now. It’s what keeps the blog moving forward. Good things are coming! I appreciate all of you and I’m honored to have you as a part of this thing. Your support is invaluable to me. The Fujifilm community really is the best!

Kodachrome 1 looks promising
It’s basically a revisit of Vintage Kodachrome. Very interesting results.
Vista 100 and B&W Superia look interesting. I hope they can be adapted to X-Trans III sensors.
Thank you! There are some recipes compatible with X-Trans III in the works, but neither of those two are. Sorry.
I feel like you make me buy the X100V some day 😉 Although I still have hope for the an XE-4…
I hope an X-E4 is in the works from Fujifilm. Maybe in 2021?

B&W Superia. Would this work for XT3? I’d love a TMax 400 film simulation or FP4 as used to use those films.

The Kodachrome II is my favourite recipe so far, so Ill definitely be making room to play with Kodachrome I, 7 custom slots just isn’t enough!

If a person uses older camera – non-Classic Negative based simulations are more interesting 😀
Anyhow I am voting for Vista, Kodachrome and Superia.
It would be nice if something like Fujicolor Superia 800 or something similar could be used for the X-T3. Since many do not have the Classic Neg base

I still am holding out hope that Fujifilm will add Classic Negative to the X-T3, but it seems less and less likely.
Those will be fun! Vista uses Classic Negative.

I die hard fan of your Vintage Kodachrome. Looking forward to the Kodachrome 1 and Agfa 100.
If you like Vintage Kodachrome, you’ll appreciate Kodachrome 1. The Agfa recipe is a good one, too.

Agfa Vista and Kodachrome 1 are sure winners! Great for landscape and nature. Will X-Trans III will have a chance?
I have some things in the works for X-Trans III, but none of these are specifically for it, although a couple could possibly work.

Great job as always. I use your Vintage Kodachrome preset almost exclusively. I can’t help but wish there was a Kodachrome that emulated the style of Steve McCurry or Alex Webb.

If you like Vintage Kodachrome, you’ll like Kodachrome 1. I’ve been wanting to tackle Provia 100F. It’s on my to-do list. My X100V Kodachrome 64 recipe is the closest to McCurry or Webb. Thanks for the input!

How easy or hard is it to put these settings into the camera? Are they then saved to the film simulation settings for future selection?
Look for “Edit/Save Custom Settings” in the menu. It’s not too difficult to set up.

I’ve been trying to create these colors …I even asked the guy from this ig account but he never replies about his editing process. He uses a xpro 3 and the bright summer you shared here give me hope. It looks similar somehow..

It is inspired by Preet! Someone asked me to make a recipe similar to his pictures, and so I did! I reached out to Preet, and he answered. He edits RAW in Lightroom. He says he plans to sell Lightroom presets soon. I showed him my pictures and asked if he’d be interested in the JPEG recipe, and he answered that he doesn’t shoot JPEG only RAW so no thanks.

+ 1 for the Agfa. Compared to Kodak and Fujifilm “ back in the day (70’s, 80’s and 90’s), Agfa had a distinctive subdued rendition. It was often referred to as a European palette. That would be a lovely recipe indeed.
