Announcement Coming Tuesday!

The picture above is the third and final clue of what’s coming on December 1st. In case you missed it, the first clue is here and the second is here. The full announcement with all of the details will be in just a couple of days, on November 24th. Be sure to check Fuji X Weekly on Tuesday!

What is it? You’ve probably guessed already that it is a camera app, and you’re right. A Fuji X Weekly camera app is coming! Yea! I’m not giving any more details today, but I’ll just leave you with this: it’s very cool and I’m super excited about it! I hope you’re excited about it, too, because I think you’re going to really like it.

Very good article I look forward to it. What I would really like to see is Fuji having a year sale on theirs lens.

Me too! I want a XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR or XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR but both are expensive.

Awesome! I think you’ll appreciate it!

It’s probably an app that pulls up recipes according to your sensor. I’m all for it

I hope it’ll be available for both Android and iOS. Since you posted a photo of an iPhone it concerns me that Android will be forgotten. Hopefully not. Good luck!

Initially it will be for iOS, that’s just the way it worked out. But I hope for an Android version not far down the road. It takes time and (especially) money.

Please, an app that allows you to update the film simulation recipe on camera settings instantly?!

    • Ritchie Roesch · November 23, 2020

That would be so awesome! Maybe at some point Fujifilm will allow this, I hope anyway.

Move on Android fans, nothing to see here…

    • Ritchie Roesch · November 23, 2020

I hope it comes to Android sooner than later. It takes time and (especially) money. But it’s on my ASAP list….

      • Essere · November 24, 2020

Hope the android version will come soon!

      • Ritchie Roesch · November 24, 2020

        I truly hope so, too!

Awesome Ritchie! Thank you for taking the time and effort to create this app. I use and Android phone but do have an iPad and will download if compatible. I’m sorry that there are those who feel the need to knock the fact that you are releasing it to the Apple platform first. Seems so petty considering you provide so much great content and information to so many without asking for anything in return.
I think I will go make a donation to the this site as a token of my gratitude. Thank you again.

Thank you so much for your support! I really appreciate it! iPhone and iPad initially (it looks really good on the iPad), I’m hoping maybe late winter or spring I can make it available for Android, but it’s hard to say how the timing of that will work out.

I’ll have two of whatever is coming and have one yourself! Cheers! And thank you for all your hard work!

Hi Ritchie! I am PUMPED for the fujixweekly app. You give so much for the Fujifilm community. Thank you for all your efforts.

    • Ritchie Roesch · November 24, 2020

I appreciate it! Announcement is tomorrow.

Are you building it as a universal app ? Technically if so , it should also be able to run on IPad, IPhone and MacOS Big Sur. My hope is that it is a full fledged RAW editor that has all the FUJI Sims and and can apply them to the RAW file 🙂

    • Ritchie Roesch · November 24, 2020

Well, I can say for certain it is not a RAW editor. That would be epic! It will be available for iPhone and iPad and (I believe) the very latest macs with the new chip.

iOS apps now work on M1 Macs. Will you allow it or is it gonna be excluded like some of the big app makers have opted ( example I can’t find the fuji remote app for M1 Macs)

    • Ritchie Roesch · November 24, 2020

It will be available for use on M1 Macs!

If it’s a paid app, I will gladly buy it just to thank you for these great recipes 🙏

    • Ritchie Roesch · November 30, 2020

It’s a free app, but a paid subscription unlocks advanced features!
