These Film Simulation Recipes are intended for Fujifilm Bayer sensor cameras, such as the X-A1, X-A2, X-A3, X-A5, X-A7, X-A10, XF10, X-T100, and X-T200. Not all of those models, particularly the older ones, have all of the film simulations that newer ones do, so some of these Recipes are not compatible with every Fujifilm Bayer camera. Feel free to try EXR-CMOS, X-Trans I and X-Trans II Recipes on your camera, but the results will be slightly different, and not all of those Recipes are compatible with every Bayer camera. Some of these Recipes will work on the X-Trans I and X-Trans II models, but with slightly different results.

Hi, great work, I love all the recipes. But Im having some problems right here. Just wanna ask can Fuji XA-7 can save the recipes? I couldn’t see the save custom setting selection there.
The X-A7, and all the other Bayer cameras, don’t have the ability to save custom settings, unfortunately. I wish you could!
Perhaps a dumb question but I noticed that my x100 original doesn’t have number settings but instead “mid, mid-high, mid-low”…do these correspond similarly to the number format?
Not a dumb question at all. Low = -2, Mid-Low = -1, Mid = 0, Mid-High = +1 and High = +2. Fujifilm made a couple variations of this on different models before settling on just using the plus and minus with a number.

Oh, absolutely! The closest to being the “same” is X-Trans I, but also try X-Trans II recipes.
Hi, I’m very late to the party, just got the original x!00 and looking at the recipes I can add. Can the original x100 specify for example with Classic Chrome +3 Red -4 Blue with regards to white balance or do we just leave it on Auto? Thanks.

With that said, the X100 doesn’t have Classic Chrome. Your recipe options are limited, but try Bayer and X-Trans I recipes that don’t require Classic Chrome or either PRO Neg options since your camera doesn’t have those.
I can’t save recipes on my Fujifilm xt100 how can I save
Unfortunately on Bayer cameras (like the X-T100, X-T200, X-A5, X-A7, XF10, etc., etc.) you cannot. It’s a shame that Fujifilm didn’t include the C1-C7 custom settings on those cameras.
If you notice, with these three recipes (Classic Chrome, Velvia and Monochrome) https://fujixweekly.com/2018/09/30/my-fujifilm-xf10-film-simulation-recipes/ I kept several of the settings the same to make it a little easier to switch between recipes.
Hey! Thank you so much for posting these recipes! My Fiancé and I just recently got an X-T200 and loved the Classic Chrome on you did! Do you have any recommendations on making the application of these filters and the workflow of it easier?
I found out that the camera does NOT work with Fuji X Raw Studio, which means true editing of these from camera is annoying. Do you think Capture one would work? I had two ideas. First one is shooting in film bracketing mode constantly, Provia, Velvia, & Classic Chrome. However, that means we have to edit each image in camera individually.
Second idea is shooting Fine + RAW in Provia then editing. Any tips? It’s also hard because our camera cannot save the custom settings 🙁
My best advice is to shoot with one recipe at a time. Use the Fuji X Weekly App or write down the other recipes that you might want to use (try X-Trans I recipes, too; X-Trans II will look different, but consider trying them anyway), that way you have easy access when you do want to switch. Shoot RAW+JPEG so that you can reprocess in-camera if you need to. Or, use a program like Capture One, although recipes don’t fully translate into that (or any) software. I hope that this helps.
Hey Ritchie! I actually tried to sit and mess with the RAWs within the camera and you are right! I will just shoot with the desired recipe (Most likely your Classic Chrome) and then I can edit the RAWs in camera. It looks like I can reprocess the RAWs as many times as I want! I was glad to see this happen as a new JPG came out every time I processed the RAW with just a film simulation.
Capture One Express does not have any simulations, we will pass on paying as we are not too into it (yet?).

Unfortunately you cannot on the X-T100, X-T200, XF10, X-A5, X-A7 and cameras like that. Only one at a time.

Hi I just today came to know of this site and I have the basic XT100 which I suppose does not have the feature to save these settings. So will I have to set these settings on the Q menu manually
The Bayer cameras don’t have C1-C7 Custom Presets, unfortunately, so it is one recipe at a time programmed via the IQ Menu subset or via the Q-Menu (if you have all of the appropriate parameters set up in there).
Hi, may I know where fujifilm xa-20 belong. or they don’t belong in any category? im having a hard time doing film simulation because its my first time have a camera
The Fujifilm X-A20 is a Bayer model. I don’t know a whole lot about it, as it wasn’t (apparently) sold in the U.S., but it is supposedly similar to the X-A2, so I would look for recipes compatible with the X-A2:

My XA-7 doesn’t have the option for grain settings like the x-trans cameras but does it still add grain to the photos in film simulation?
It does not. Sometimes high-ISO noise can appear somewhat film-grain-like, so you might want to try that, maybe going with ISO 1600 or higher, to see if you like the results.

Well lately I’ve been feeling kinda underwhelmed with Bayer sensor, asking if I could use the Trans V recipes? cause damn those are awesome.
Or any solution for it? I’m planning switch to Xpro2 for awhile. (sorry for my horrible England lol)
You can’t use X-Trans V recipes, but you can use X-Trans I and X-Trans II recipes; however, they will render slightly different on the X-T100 (try them anyway).

For my OG X100 there are built in film simulations for Provia(Standard), Velvia, etc. Do I modify them based on your recipe or do I modify the Provia(standard) ? TIA
You use the built-in film sims, and by adjusting the other settings, are able to get custom looks. If a Recipe calls for Velvia, you use Velvia, for example. I hope this makes sense.

Hello! I recently got a Xt-100 and whenever i shoot on manual with the recipes, I end up with 3 slightly different pics of the same photo (I think this is called bracketing?). Is there a way to turn this off but still shoot with the custom settings and only end up with one pic vs 3?

You have a Bracket enabled. You’ll want to turn that off.

All of these should. You can also try X-Trans I and X-Trans II Recipes, although they will render slightly differently.
xa 20 is just xa 10 with touch screen. You can use the bayer recipe
