RSVP for Fujikina NYC!!

Dumbo Crowd – Brooklyn, New York City, NY – Fujifilm X-T50 – Reala Ace

Fujifilm just dropped more details on the upcoming Fujikina in New York City, which will take place October 16-18 on the Lower East Side of Manhattan (they haven’t yet said the exact location). Fujikina events are a must-attend for Fujifilm photographers. If you live anywhere near New York City, it will be worthwhile to go, I promise. For all the details and to register, click here. There are a lot of talented photographers who will be leading classes and/or photowalks, including Jonas Rask and Tom Baumgaertel (among many others). I’ll be there, and I hope you’ll be there, too.

I’ll also be in Denver for the FocusPoint Photo & Video Expo, which will take place on September 11th & 12th. I’ll be doing a class entitled Film Simulation in Action on September 12th at 10:30 AM, followed by a photowalk. If you’re in Denver, please come on out to FocusPoint, I’d love to meet you in person.

Previously I had mentioned that I’d be in Toronto over Halloween; however, that event has been canceled. So, it turned out to be tricks after all, and not treats. That’s the way it goes sometimes. If you are in Denver in September or New York City in October, please stop by and say hi. I look forward to seeing you there!

Save the Dates! Upcoming Fujifilm Events

There are a number of Fujifilm and Fujifilm-related events that are coming up soon, especially in September and October. I’ll be at a few of them, so I wanted to give you a heads up, in case you want to stop by and say hi or sign up for a class or photowalk.

First is the FocusPoint Photo & Video Expo in Denver, Colorado, on September 11th & 12th. I’ll be doing a class entitled Film Simulation in Action on September 12th at 10:30 AM, followed by a photowalk. Next is Fujikina NYC on October 16th, 17th & 18th. The details are still being worked out, but I believe I’ll also be doing both a class and photowalk. Having been a part of Fujikina Copenhagen in May, I can tell you with 100% certainty that if you can make it to a Fujikina event, you absolutely should, because it is completely worthwhile. There’s another event at the end of October—over Halloween weekend—that hasn’t been announced yet (details are subject to change), so I can’t give out the information; however, it will be in Toronto, so you might want to mark your calendars now.

Masazumi Imai – Copenhagen, Denmark – Fujifilm X-E5 – Provia Positive

If you live in or near Denver, I hope to see you in a little over five weeks at the FocusPoint Photo & Video Expo. If you live anywhere near New York City, you’ll want to attend Fujikina in October. And it’s no trick—only treats—that an event will take place in Toronto over Halloween weekend, and I’d love to meet you in-person if you are in that region.

As more details become available, I’ll be sure to share them with you. Check back often to stay up-to-date. Also, at the very bottom of every page there is a follow-via-email option, where you can be notified by email whenever a new article is published. I hope to see you at a Fujifilm event soon!

News: Fujikina NYC 2026

Fujifilm just announced a new Fujikina event in New York City. The three-day event will take place October 16-18. Aside from the dates and city, no other information was included in this announcement. You can sign up to receive more information on Fujifilm’s website (click here).

I’ve said this before a few times, but Fujikina events are sometimes adjacent to camera launches (typically, right after an X Summit), and sometimes they are not. For example, I was at Fujikina Copenhagen in May, and there was not any product launch associated with it. I have no idea if the New York City Fujikina will follow an X Summit, it may or may not. Statistically, more Fujikina events are not associated with a product launch than ones that are, so most likely this one will not be, but it certainly could be. Fujifilm has been quiet so far in 2026, with no new X or GFX gear as of yet, so I suspect the latter half of the year could be quite busy.

The email that Fujifilm circulated for Fujikina NYC says, “Come for the fun, stay for the community. This fall, we’re bringing our people together. Fujikina NYC 2026 is more than excitement, education, and engagement—it’s a celebration of what you love, with people who love it, too.” Sounds like a good time.

Fujikina Copenhagen was great! I have no reason to believe that Fujikina NYC won’t be just as good, if not even greater. If you live near New York City, it will be a great opportunity that I’m sure you won’t want to miss. If you can make it, you should definitely go.
