During this week I used my wife’s Fujifilm X-T20 quite a bit. I promised her that I wouldn’t take it over, but I’ve enjoyed using it so much that I kind of did take it over. Well, I asked nicely if I could use it each time, and I’ve also shared my cameras with her (or, at least made the offer to). I think when the X-T30 comes out, which might be sometime next year, it will be very tempting to pick one up.

You had me at the first line. It’s even worse when your wife likes model trains and you go to a show to operate a layout!
My grandpa was really into model trains. He passed away about a decade ago and his N Scale locomotives and cars were given to me. They mostly sat in a box until about two years ago when I started building a small layout for the kids. It runs well but the scenery is only probably 25% finished. It’s been a slow process but the kids love it and love playing engineer. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas we have an HO set that we pull out and the kids run it constantly.
You are very fortunate. If I touched my wife’s camera gear I would be getting surgery to fix the broken bones in my hands. 🙉🙈🙊
I do feel fortunate! My wife’s interest in photography has been pretty recent. She’s more into video. I think as long as she has her GoPro she is ok with letting me use her X-T20. Still, I feel a little bad for using it so much lately.
😋
Good work! XT10 is my Fujifilm camera now, thinking of upgrading I find myself with two choices, XT1or XT20, the edge on image quality is on the XT20’s side, and ergonomics on XT1’s, still making up my mind, cheers!
Honestly, the image quality difference isn’t probably all that big, but if you like using camera-made JPEGs the X-T20 will be better. Otherwise, you can probably find the X-T1, which is weather sealed, for a good price.
Weather sealing might be important in some situations yes 👍🏽
