Poll: Which Fujifilm Camera Sensor Do You have?

I need your help!

I want to know what camera sensor generation is inside your Fujifilm camera. Why? Because I want to be more helpful to you, the Fuji X Weekly audience, when creating new film simulation recipes. I don’t currently have every sensor generation—right now, it’s GFX and Bayer that I don’t own (you never know when that changes), but, since I was gifted an X-H1, I now have every X-Trans option at my disposal. In the coming year I want to focus more on what is beneficial to you, and in order to do so I need to know what you own.

If you have a spare moment right now, help me out by taking the short survey below:

Thank you!

Let me know in the comments what your favorite Fujifilm model is that you own, and what Fujifilm model is the one you’d love to own someday but currently don’t. For me, the favorite model that I own is the X100V, and the one I’d love to own someday is the X-Pro3.

My personal favorite model is the X100V ( I own a X-T3 as well).
I don’t need any other model but if i had to pick a new one, it would be the X-S10 (for IBIS) or a older body with X-TRANS II or X-TRANS III.

    Hi Richie, X trans 3.

X-Pro2!!! My favorite camera today. And i dont want another one yet.

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 3, 2021

I miss the X-Pro2 I used to have (actually, it wasn’t mine, but I got to shoot with it for about six months).

  7. Vano · December 3, 2021

    X-E3 and month ago I bought X70

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 3, 2021

I’ve always wanted to try the X70, and I don’t understand why Fujifilm hasn’t made an X80. Maybe they still will.

  8. Lars · December 3, 2021

My favorite is the X100T with X-Trans II. I love how the sensor renders colours. That’s actually all I need. I’m a modest guy 😇

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 3, 2021

One camera and one lens is all you really need.

  9. Steve Masters · December 3, 2021

I have the XT1. I’d love to own the 100v
    Cheers

X100 & X100T. I. bought your app which is very handy. Would appreciate some more recipes for my older models if possible, please. Thanks, Tobyn

  11. Richard Downs · December 3, 2021

I currently own an X100S, but obviously an upgrade at some point would be great. An X100V would be my first choice.

  12. Miguel · December 3, 2021

    Hi Richie!!!
First of all thank you for your great work. And also for your new decision to know what kind of sensor we use.

I have started this summer in this wonderful world of digital photography. I bought an X-E3 (X-trans III). My favourite cameras are two X-pro 3 and X100V.

  13. Chris Michael · December 3, 2021

I have the XT-3 and would love to own either a x100v or the x-pro3

A quick answer – and an embarrassing confession.
I have 2 Fujifilm cameras: an X-Pro3 (with an X-Trans IV sensor) – and an X30 (with an X-Trans II sensor).
So I answered the Poll twice (using two different browser windows) – one for my XPro3, the other for my X30. But I didn’t read the fine print as I was clicking for the 2nd time, and failed to note that there were two separate X-Trans II possibilities: one without Classic Chrome, another with Classic Chrome. My X30 does have Classic Chrome, but I accidentally clicked on the 1st choice (without CC). After realizing my mistake, I then opened a 3rd browser window, and clicked the correct choice (for an X-Trans II sensor with CC). So…. I voted 3 times! and only 2 of them were correct 😉

In the overall scheme of things I doubt that my error will make much of a statistical difference, but I wanted to confess in the interests of Fujifilm transparency!

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 3, 2021

Thanks for participating and letting me know. Much appreciated! How do you like that X30?

  17. Peter · December 3, 2021

I currently have XT20 but i would love to have XS10

  18. GREGG HARRIS · December 3, 2021

    Xt2 ?

  19. Marcin · December 3, 2021

Hi:) I currently own XT1 and X100T, and I don’t see myself buying a new camera anytime soon. My heart would love an X100V because of its sensor, recipes available, Classic Negative etc. and weathersealing, but my brain is not allowing me to spend so much money for a camera;)

  20. Franco Navarro · December 3, 2021

    X-Trans IV; X100V <3

  21. Richard Couchman · December 3, 2021

    I own the inimitable X-pro1
Pretty much where it all started.
I usually adapt most of the later recipes to great effect but would like to see some more tailored made to the first generation sensor.
Loving all your hard work Ritchie

    Thank you

    Richard

I shoot X100F, X100V, Xpro3 and GFX100s. I am working on some really cool GFX recipes for portrait/fashion right now!

  24. Ronn Thwaites · December 3, 2021

Hi. Have an X100V which is first Fujifilm camera for me. Not sure about which other Fujifilm I’d want as I’m in love with the X100V!

  25. Marco · December 3, 2021

Hi Ritchie! I currently own the amazing X-Pro3 (in the beautiful duratect silver finish) and i’m very happy with it! I would love to try out the X100V some day. Thank you for your amazing work! Best, Marco

  26. Francesco....from Italy · December 3, 2021

For me, the favorite model that I own is the X100V, and the one I’d love to own someday is the X-Pro3. however I have had and loved the xe1, xe2, x100f and currently I also use an xe3

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 3, 2021

I know what you mean! There’s so many to love for different reasons, even the “old” models. Thank you for the comment!

  27. Alex · December 3, 2021

Hi Richie, currently I have the X-T20, my first and so far only Fujifilm camera. At some point I would like to have a combination on GFX 100 and X-T30 ii. But that would also mean switching completely to Fujifilm. Currently I still have a Nikon Z6 ii.

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 3, 2021

The X-T20 is still a solid camera. The X-T30 II would be a nice upgrade, though, for sure!

  28. Walter · December 3, 2021

I have the X-T3 and X-T4 and love them both… maybe the X-T4 a bit more. I would love to have an X-Pro3 someday and/or a GFX camera.

  29. Tangi · December 3, 2021

    I’ve got a XE1 and Dream’s to get a XPro3 ;)p

  30. Eric Szuminski · December 3, 2021

  31. skatercorpse · December 3, 2021

I get a “Server error. Please try again.” when I click “submit”…
    Have a X-Trans IV (X-T3 and X-T30) btw.

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 3, 2021

Sorry about that, I have no idea why. Thank you for letting me know!

  32. Ty · December 3, 2021

    I love my Xpro 2. I’d love an X100V.

  33. Ong TK · December 4, 2021

I have both X-T3 and X-T4. Used to own the X-H1 before the X-T4. All are awesome cameras. I am contemplating a X-Pro3 and wondering if there are any significant differences with the X-T4 and if the investment is worthwhile. Savings from getting the X-Pro3 could probably be invested on the XF 70-300mm telephoto lens and 50mm f1.0 perhaps. Any inputs from out there?

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 4, 2021

It’s head vs. heart. From a practical standpoint, I would recommend the X-T4: IBIS, more JPEG features, faster autofocus. The X-Pro3 is a camera for the heart, though. The rangefinder style, tank-like build, reverse screen, hybrid viewfinder, etc., are why you’ll fall in love with it or be disappointed. I hope this somehow helps.

      • OngTK · December 4, 2021

Thanks. It’s getting the lens then. Keep up the good work.

  34. Anil D. · December 4, 2021

My first was the X-H1. After that I got addicted to Fujifilm and now also own the X-Pro1, X-Pro2, X-E3, X-T1 and the X100V.

Hi Ritchie, thank you for sharing a whole lot of stuff, I love what you do here, I wish I could help in a way or another!!!

I’m lucky enough to have a brother giving me his X100V because he bought another camera. I do love it, but certainly can’t claim it to be my favorite Fujifilm camera, because it’s my only Fuji camera. But yeah, I do want the X-Pro3, and I found myself lately forcing not to look at the result after each shot.

Wish you health and wealth, and a Merry Christmas Ritchie!

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 4, 2021

Wow, sounds like you have a great brother! I love the X100V, it was a gift from my wife. Merry Christmas to you, too!

  37. Francis.R. · December 4, 2021

I have a Fujifilm X100S (and a Fujifilm DL Super MiNi but that is a story in film) I love it and really my purchases are more to complement it with Fujifilm accessories as the teleconverter rather than getting another camera. Although now that film is getting more expensive I am tempted to save for a Fujifilm plus an adapter for the Canon EF lenses of my Canon EOS 7 film camera. Canon has very nice colors too, but I am afraid the type of body is more geared toward professionals and my use is rather the pleasure to take my time and hold a camera that looks like the archetype of cameras in my mind. Thank you, Ritchie. Even when the recipes are not intended for my X100S I love to try them as the results can be quite interesting.

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 4, 2021

Awesome! I love the experimentation. You never know when you’ll find something great!

  38. Martin Cavassa · December 4, 2021

Hi, Ritchie, Congrats on being gifted an X-H1. I’ve owned mine since Fuji did that crazy stupid deal a couple of years ago with the body, battery grip and XF16-55mm f2.8 for $1,799. I swear I still feel like I stole it. I also own an X-Pro3, which was an upgrade from my X-Pro2. The 2 cameras (X-H1 and X-Pro3) couldn’t be more different in terms of feel and function, but they excel in how I use them. The X-H1 is my landscape camera (w/ XF10-24, XF16-55, and XF50-140) and what I throw in the backpack for hikes (w/ XF16-80), and the X-Pro3 is the camera that goes practically everywhere else with me (w/ XF35 f1.4).

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 4, 2021

Sounds like a near perfect combo! Thanks for sharing!

  39. Brad · December 4, 2021

I find myself using your recipes all the time but my x100V is the one I use for simulation the most. Paying you for the app is the best thing I bought for my current cameras. Thank you!

  40. Alberto Secondi · December 4, 2021

X-T30 owner here. First Fujifilm for me. Strangely I don’t see another camera in the Fuji system I would want for now. I guess the size/look/features did it for me. Just wish we got some of the new film sims!
    Thanks!

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 4, 2021

I wish that, too. I hope Fujifilm does at some point.

  41. Don · December 4, 2021

    XT-1, XT-2, X-E4.

  42. mattinkyiv · December 4, 2021

Using an X-E2 and an X-T2. No plans to upgrade either any time soon. I like using vintage lenses and I’m planning to start using these recipes too (only recently discovered your site).

  43. mrobertmartin · December 4, 2021

I think I have all the sensors. Also hello from Millcreek 🙂
    – x100s
    – x-pro1
    – x-t1
    – x-t10
    – x-t3
    – x100f

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 4, 2021

That is all of the sensors! Millcreek is pretty close by. Hello from Farmington!

    • mrobertmartin · December 4, 2021

Oh I see my comment was clipped. Also x-e4 and x-h1. I think the e4 is the only one I have with the x-trans 4. Also thank you for all the hard work you share!

      • Ritchie Roesch · December 4, 2021

Your X-T3 also is X-Trans IV. The X-E4 is a great little travel camera.

        Is this your website? http://rubberlabelphoto.com/

      • Rob Martin · December 4, 2021

I didn’t even realize that! Thank you for pointing that out to me. I bought the E4 for myself at my birthday over the summer. I already had the X-T10 by then, but the E4 was just so very nice. I’ve picked up the rest of them since summer, and have really enjoyed getting to know each of them.

That’s not my site, looks cool though! I put a little on Unsplash (@version2beta) and Instagram (also version2beta), and I’m working on a couple projects. Just a creative outlet with a chance for ego boosts when someone downloads an image.

      • Ritchie Roesch · December 4, 2021

Awesome! Just found you on Instagram.

  44. misdabeat · December 4, 2021

Hey Ritchie. Snap. I too would love to own the X100V & X-Pro3.

  45. Steven Smith · December 4, 2021

Own the XE4. Would only consider another option in the future with future new models

  46. Chris · December 4, 2021

I have the X-T3. I’ve just purchased it and am trying to learn it. I wish there were as many film templates as the newer models have. I think there is 2 fewer… Nevertheless, I think it offers enough functions, manipulative controls to create valuable recipes. I might write to Fuji and express a desire for the added simulations via firmware update. cheers.

    • Ritchie Roesch · December 4, 2021

I hope that Fujifilm will listen! The X-T3 is a wonderful camera, for sure!

  47. Ryan · December 4, 2021

Hello Ritchie, as you I have the x100v (also my fav). I also hope to someday get a xpro3, and would also like a GFX50SII.
